It's fall in Middle Tennessee! Beautiful colors, cool nights and the same question comes often... Should I list my home during the Holiday season? My response has always been the same - If you want to sell, any time is a good time to list your home. Our Murfreesboro TN and Rutherford County area doesn't see a noticeable slowdown during any season.
Here is a graph of historical listings and sales during all months of the year. As you can see, there is no true "down time".
So you have decided to sell your home in the fall or winter... What are some good questions to ask your Realtor? We all deserve to be able to take time off with our families, or take a well deserved vacation. Ask the following questions to find out more about how the agent will handle the marketing of your home during the busy holiday months.
- What is your opinion of the market in the holiday season? (Listen to their view of the market. Are they positive?)
- How do you handle your real estate obligations when you are out of the office on vacation or time off with family? (Do they have a team or a partner? Do they have procedures in place to handle deals and marketing when they are away from the office?)
